The VAIO RT is designed to take full advantage of a new era in High Definition entertainment.
It features an integrated Blu-ray Disc™ Drive with read and write capability. This allows high bandwidth playback of latest HD movies plus creation and editing of your own productions created on an HD camcorder. You can also store up to 50GB of multimedia data on one disc using the Blu-ray Disc™ Drive, as well as play and record all CD and DVD formats.
The VAIO RT connects easily to an HD-Ready TV using HDMI output for enjoying Full HD 1080p pictures on a big screen. HDMI Input enables easy connection to a PlayStation® 3 for playing latest games even when PC power is switched off. The PC then functions as an HD display monitor.
Home Theater Sound Quality
Enjoy all the excitement of home cinema with stereo speakers delivering 2 x 5.5W for faithful reproduction of original sounds. These specially designed speakers are partnered by a powerful 11W subwoofer on the back side of the PC providing impressive bass and low frequency sound. Also featured is Dolby Home Theater® for powerful virtual surround. The VAIO RT features a huge 25.5” Full HD X-black LCD display with WUXGA resolution of 1920x1200 and 16:10 aspect ratio for watching HD movies at true native resolution of full HD 1080p – no need to reduce quality by scaling the image to the screen.
